Nordic Homes to Ukraine
Nordic Cross is a 100,000 m² residential development near Kyiv designed to bring 1,600 Ukrainian families safely home from displacement in the Nordics and the UK. The project comprises three distinct building types, ranging from 6 to 16 stories, offering flexibility in design and density while maintaining a cohesive architectural language.
Building on Values
Durability
Built for generations with robust materials and strict safety margins. Permanent structures designed to endure, protect, and provide stability long after war.
Efficiency
Insulation, glazing, and climate systems cut energy use and costs. Families gain year-round comfort while reducing waste and financial strain.
Design
Layouts emphasize well-being with natural light, ventilation, and acoustic calm. Rooted in Nordic norms, every space supports daily life with clarity.
Sustainability
Low-carbon materials, green methods, and long-life components reduce impact. The aim is simple: build once, build well, and ease recovery costs.
Accessibility
Universal design ensures usability for all ages and abilities. Entrances and interiors remain inclusive, removing barriers and preserving dignity.
Affordability
Nordic design discipline balances efficiency and cost. The result is safe, sustainable housing accessible to returning families without compromise.
Safety, space, dignity
Nordic Cross offers three apartment types — 5, 9, and 16 stories — designed to Nordic standards of safety, efficiency, and livability. These buildings balance density with dignity, creating resilient homes where families can return, rebuild, and thrive together.

Order,access, security
The project integrates well-planned parking, roads, and pedestrian paths. Following Nordic urban principles, movement is safe, logical, and human-centered — vehicles and walkers coexist without conflict, reinforcing order, security, and community well-being.

Play, health, culture
Beyond housing, Nordic Cross builds space for life: playgrounds and outdoor gyms. These are not luxuries but essential for children, health, and shared culture. They anchor communities in joy, movement, and a return to normal life.

Nature, calm, renewal
Landscaping with trees, bushes, and green courtyards surrounds the homes, with paths opening toward a nearby lake. This reflects Nordic respect for nature — urban life intertwined with calm, clean spaces — offering beauty, balance, and restoration after war.
